The first two Saints Row games were edgy GTA clones that nobody played. Somehow they greenlit a third game which was basically a cartoon and was hugely popular. The (admittedly pretty shitty) trailer for the reboot shows that it’s also going to be a cartoon.

That’s why the three people who played the first game are Big Mad. The KiA types are Big Mad because their e-identities are built around seething about every game made after 2010 or so.
