Battlelfield 1 was such a great game. It made you feel like you were really there.

It literally is about WWI. It even has a mission where you fight as Lawrence of Arabia, the hero who saved the Arabs.

I think his point was that it didn't recreate the combat of WW1 because (in the game) there were way too many automatic small arms. So it may as well not be classified as a WW1 game.

You also regenerate after you die and everyone can fly an airplane so technically it's not like being in World War I either. It's a WWI game and there's nothing you can do about it.
