Not drama, but does anyone else get legitimately upset when you see children that has been grasped by redditist-tumblrism?

Not a very good way of describing it, but you get the point. Sometimes I see something and I just have to try to reason with them and I know it’s pointless but still. Poor saps who are literally children - 13, 14, 15 - and their minds are addled mush. I don’t mean they are ones getting baited by lovefor subs, but the ones that seem deranged. The ones that are (usually) tankies that hide under the anarcho-communists aesthetic because they don’t know what either are. Who are obsessed with gay and trans and femboys too the point where it’s legitimately disturbing. The ones who spend all day, every day, looking for shit to seethe about on reddit. Especially depressing are the ones who :marseytrain2: out as it’s clear they all are acting out for attention (let’s be honest, none of them have social connections but the :marseytrain2:s also have no family connections).

Like holy frick it becomes painful to see. Haven’t even made it to highschool yet for half of them and their fricked. Their lives are fricked. I know I could call them all worthless subhumans and they basically are, but it’s not their fault. Everyone failed them. Their parents, their teachers, and the way social media sites function it was bound to happen.

I have no idea if I’ve ever convinced someone to at least reflect, but I still got to try, you know? The way their going they’ll have 2 options, suicide before 20 or a lifetime of misery and nobody deserves that. If some moron is 25 and then they start fricking up their life that’s one thing, but someone who’s not out of puberty left never even got a fair shot.

I'm new, but I was an avid SRDine at 14, tons of karma. Didn't know about trans rights because it was the dark ages back then 😭😭😭, but I knew that I HATED g*mer gaters. I don't remember why, something about boob armor, women are people, and I hate boys

Also did a lot of SRS, I wonder what even happened to that subreddit, haven't thought about it in years.

kids like that aren't getting bullied and shit? at least where i'm from and the neighboring countries most kids are edgy anti feminists, like "sjw cringe compilation" edgy. while there is one famous 🚂actress most people don't mind her bc she won an oscar a while back. still, that is the impressionable age of kids so you just pray they grow out of it

Thanks to decades of anti-bullying initiatives it’s gone down a lot. That and suspension (or worse) for hate speech. Not kidding.

I had a phase like this at 15-16 and it absolutely sucked, all coz of social media too. But I'm happy I live in Eastern Europe in fairly conservative family, otherwise I could've done something utterly idiotic and ruined my life. Thankfully I came to my senses

I'm glad I'm done with uni already. Feels like it's infecting everyone in there.

My lab partner broke down in the middle of our prac because a male feminist was in the Supreme Court (Kavanaugh?). We don't even live in the US. I was also called a Latinx by this whitest girl I've seen. At least call me a sudaca or a hard-working American instead.

And the amount of people I've met who absolutely hate their parents now is ridiculous. I swear all the commies and ACABers at uni went extremist because of daddy issues.

I've haven't seen blue haired :marseytrain: shit in my STEM program yet. Might have something to do with logic and staying relatively busy. What was your field of study?

Are they trying to influence the curriculum or something?

When I was in college there were a few profs pushing a progressive agenda in ML courses and some libertarian profs who really hated the NSA.

Might be because of the high immigrant population in my city, but then again I do see a lot of what you're describing outside of STEM programs.

Unless they HRT'd they can turn it around. Let's not act like we weren't all massive strags as teens

I’m also talking about the ones who shun irl contact in favor of online power fantasies. In their formative years. Not easy to turn that around.

I think it's their version of being emo/punk, something that you grow out of and do because it's a relatively safe way to feel like you're rebelling against the system while not actually being different from anyone else. Even adults that I know that have realized they're gay tend to get into identity stuff for a bit.

But I agree that it's concerning and depressing. They hear about how they're never going to own homes or have kids, the world will be unlivable soon, none of that has to be true but I can't blame kids for taking that at face value and leaning into the mindset that lets them use that as a comfort. It's why so many of them get Greta-pilled and froth about how not living miserably is a bad thing, it's easier for them to deal with that way. I wish so many adults in the media weren't such doomers because this is their legacy, a bunch of really sad and terrified kids.

when we were kids being goth (for example) wasa the way to say FRICK SOCIETY/MOM/DAD I'M UNIQUE AND A REBEL!

now it's just being one of those people. most of them will grow out of it.

Enjoy the fact that if you expressed your opinions in real life you'd get egged and milkshaked and bricked back into irrelevancy, so you have to project reddit addiction onto me :)
