Funny thing is the problem with BMI from a medical standpoint have to do with the fact that it's inaccurate for heavily muscled individuals and the classic cutoffs for risk factors based on BMI are actually too high for groups like Asians, who can technically have a lower BMI but still have higher risk factors if they have a lot of visceral fat.
BMI sucks because it doesn't favor bodybuilders and is too lenient on Asians people.
