Please Allah ban children completely off of the internet, or at least construct a parallel kids-only internet that's all they can access until they turn 18

All of those platforms are filled with 40 year old men pretending to be teenagers though.

construct a parallel kids-only internet

This is a pretty solid take, logistics be darned. Sorta like how old school big family gatherings might have an "adults" table and the kids table. A shorter table with shorter legged chairs. Served and overseen by respectable adults.

Better yet, it needs to be separated somehow. Read-only scholastic access needs to be available to children/everyone but social media in general needs to be treated like a driver's license is. It is a PRIVILEGE, not a right. Children don't get to drive on public roads and require classes, tests and provisional licenses at a certain age for more access. Even then, so-called adults must stay currently licensed and insured with withdrawal or suspension of the privilege as an option. The framework is imperfect but already there.
