Reddit banned a community that sought to collect "bounties" on people seeking abortions in Texas.

The r/TXBountyHunters community was "dedicated to sharing tips on identifying, reporting, and collecting bounty on those breaking Texas law TX SB8," according to its description, and had 68 members.

On Reddit, snitches called themselves "bounty hunters," and sought out ways to make money off of other people's vulnerability under the law.

Twitter rube who took the bait and is the source for the article.

In reality, it will be open season on any woman who is pregnant. What complete stranger would not stalk her, go through her garbage, follow her incessantly, stalk her on social media, chat her up randomly, to infiltrate her friends, for a quick, easy $10,000. Any woman of childbearing age, any mildly obese woman, any older teen, now has a target on her back. There's no downside, except for all the pregnant women that will suffer stress and the torment of this mental torture, for if they want their baby and thought pregnancy would be the most magical and special and wonderful event, what stranger would know that? No, these women will be stalked and hounded and harrassed, with no recourse if their stalkers cause the women to miscarry under the stress of being hunted. And the consequence of their miscarriage will be a $10,000 bounty to their stalker.
