Everyone in there is in so much denial about how they are basically being medically diagnosed as insufferable buttholes. "I don't know why everyone I encounter keeps saying how people with BPD are difficult and terrible." Gee, I don't know. It's a true mystery.
My proposal is that there should be some type of BPD registry like we have for libertarians and male feminists.

How long does it take to dump someone when you find out they've got a mental health issue?
A friend of mine (I did consider claiming I'd done this but I'll be honest) found out a girl was bipolar during post coitus pillow talk first time they had s*x. He said he needed to go to the potty, put on his pants, shirt and shoes (excuse being it was a shared student accommodation and he didn't want to bump into her housemates in a state of undress) and then he just creeped out the house and never went back.
He left his socks and underwear in her room.

When I was in college I went on a date with a girl who had apparently been previously committed, I thought βoh Iβm sure sheβs normal now.β It was fine and we ended up going camping in the middle of fricking nowhere with no one else around a few weeks later. She had a fricking mental breakdown on the second day.

She talked about how she liked picking up hitchhikers and I said she should be careful and she got really agitated and said she was going for a walk and then left for like 4 hours and I legit thought she got eaten by a bear. She finally came back and just started packing her shit up and we had to awkwardly drive back to the campus in complete silence with her driving at like 3 times the speed limit in her giant SUV down a fricking mountain.

Yours probably thinking BPD. Itβs real but also super broad in how itβs caused and how it expresses itself.
Bipolar is a mental disorder where your brain chemistry is fricked up and you need medication to balance yourself out.
Borderline Personality Disorder is a personality disorder (hurr durr) thatβs often a trauma response from severe childhood abuse and neglect. Thereβs no medication for it, and youβre kinda fricked if your brain re-wires itself into the batch of symptoms BPD encompasses. Itβs why thereβs a movement by psychiatrists to stop diagnosing patients with it since itβs basically a death sentence and there arenβt many specific treatments for it. I appreciated my diagnosis since it helped me understand what I needed to avoid to not trigger episodes, but I received it while I was already in therapy for major depression and went through a few antidepressants that werenβt bringing the results we wanted.
