half girlfriend?
hello blind, i met this girl online (through clash royale - Iβm top 300 in my country π) and we started talking and facetiming a lot. I joked that she is my half girlfriend because of how much we talk etc, which she liked.
The topic of visiting came up, and Iβm torn on what i should do. Shes actually really great but the problem is that she lives in basically a third world country and so its extra hard for us to meet given she would need a literal visa to visit me (from an embassy).
I know blind is full of h1b so obviously we are skewed towards the visa situation being a non issue, but i still feel like its a lot of hassle. On the other hand, shes cute, is completely fluent in english, and seems to like me a lot. FWIW, i have a friend who also met a girl online (she lives in ireland) and hes visited her twice already, so this gives me some hope it can work out.
I cant be bothered downloading dating apps, seems toxic and like a waste of time to me, especially after i met this person already and made a genuine connection. Am i being hopelessly romantic thinking this will work out? Should i yolo and just do it? Please lmk.
