"White" in the Netherlands would be very different from the US definition. You get treated worse when people sense you're from the wrong ethnicity (similar skin color, culture Polish), than when they see darker skin (culturally Dutch).

It’s just when you are mixed locals will always assume one of your parent is local Dutchcel, like I know half black and half Ukrainian girl and a half black and half polish girl and they are treated almost like local folks even by other ethnics.
But with white/Asian kids it’s a bit more complex since they don’t have unique skin color or hair like black/white or black/Asian kids, they are often just assumed to be Asian, like I know half Korean half Dutch girl and she just looks like kpop girl so people don’t even see her white side, her only give away is green eyes.
