This is something rightoids have adopted now because they're genuinely just poorly educated people with no connection to reality.
It started because Hunter Biden had some business deals with China. Of course, Trump had way more business dealings in China than anyone in the Biden family did.
It also seems to come from the right-wing delusion that Trump was "tough on China." realistically from a geopolitical point of view, Trump was one of the best things to happen to China in a long time.
