Not sure what country you live in, but in my Five Eye’s country disabled people who qualify for assistance (which is almost impossible to qualify for- even people with severe cancer who can’t work due to chemo/radiation and being in hospital most of the time find it difficult to jump the hoops to get it) live under the poverty line.
