Civ 6 gameplay is a step back in the right direction
While there are elements that work better in 6 (although I'm not yet fully convinced districts are the way to go since they make terrain too important) the new movement rules make it an absolute chore and spoil the entire game. That would be enough, but the social policy cards where you can optimize at every turn or every few turns just paralize all the fun. Ed Beach tried to make civ into an actual competitive board game and spoiled all the fun.
