So many mundane nutters and little old ladies into True Crime, you just don't know who you're dealing with. Opens massive trolling potential. Dramatards were already instinctively going there, "praise Christ, Q told me Brian innocent."

"Random white woman missing story blows up" was like a South Park/stand-up joke in 2008, though. "Police Gazette" was the most popular periodical of the 19th Century (basically just grisly account of murders,) which sounds weirdly morbid until you imagine grandparents all sit around watching CSI in a daze--it's all consistent. I got into these True Crime vids like a month ago and spent way too much time watching them.
