The person who Bardfinn responded to perfectly described a Dewar. If you haven't seen one of these thingies, it's a big butt metal thermos. It's double-lined, and the air in between has been sucked out to be a vacuum, so that very little heat gets in or out, and the stuff inside stays the right temp. Pretty common to store liquid nitrogen in it.
It's been a while since I've given a shit about physics, but I'm pretty sure solar ovens rely on a curved reflective surface to focus sunlight into a more concentrated area, kinda like using a magnifying glass to fry ants but that's with a lens and not a mirror. Then the light hits something else and it gets fkn hot, ya know like an ant.
