modern wannabe "tradwives" are just lazy and don't want to get a job. it's a barely concealed desire to be a gold digger.

running the household used to be a full-time job, but technology reduced the labor so much that you can easily cruise by with less than two hours of work per day. you got washing machines and ovens and vacuums and roombas and electric stoves and so on - there simply isn't that much left to do.

that's why the few actual "tradwives" post so much, they have way too much free time.

Every time I see these pick me โ€œtradsโ€ I think of military base housing and how >50% of wives donโ€™t have jobs or have part time ones and still manage to neglect their kids (sent to class/daycare without shoes on or without feeding them) or send them to day care 50 hours a week. Literally all you have to do is watch the kids in your FREE house and make dinner for the crayon eater whose standard is microwaving ramen in the barracks

Unless you're homeschooling your kids, there is no real reason why the wife shouldn't be working at least part-time. And you shouldn't be homeschooling your kids past age 9 anyway.
