No, seriously. People have been trying to get that subreddit banned since its inception. I know the drama about the creator leaving, but otherwise nothing big has happened with them and the admins.
They implemented a rule 2 years ago to not talk about s anymore. That's the ONE rule they have to sate the admins. And it works.

/r/4chan is consistently more problematic for Reddit. I'd expect that one to go first.
I've read various comments concerning both subreddits that one or more of the jannys of each one must have some sort of dirt on a Reddit staff member to allow them to stay up. However, that sounds implausible to me because if a user had enough leverage to keep one subreddit up and running then surely that person could also push for broader changes to the entire platform.

/r/4chan may have a use-mention distinction sort of thing protecting it. But then again, Reddit admins seem way too r-slurred to understand a concept like that.

Possible, but that same distinction hasn't been applied consistently if that's the case.

TiA was banned. Thought it odd that KiA was spared.

KiA threads on the new Fire Emblem were legitimately insane. They were trying to claim that removing dialog about grooming an 11 year old as racism.

Because of its size, activity levels, and its userbase/genre overlap with some of Reddit's most "important" subs.
That's why they stepped in when OG dude wanted to shut it down. It'll never be banned.

I mean /r/drama was never banned. Just increasingly weird and specific restrictions. Remember they specifically coded it so that you couldn't tag usernames on the sub. They coul have just banned the sub and wipe their hands of all the mess.

They are not allowed to link to forum posts, Twitter posts, other subreddits, and, as far as I know, any other social media platform as well as archives of those platforms. Screenshots with censored names of anyone who's not a public figure are allowed.
