I donβt know if this is common knowledge or not, but most school districts have such insane shortages that if you meet the bare minimum qualifications, youβre automatically hired. And the union means they canβt fire them ever.

My kindergarten teacher was a retiree, and that's the way it should be. Most K-12 teachers were 40+ and the TA in 4th grade was a 5/10 college student.
90% of the girls in my graduating class were aiming for healthcare or k-12 teacher.
