Yeah, the Reddit experience before 2016 was totally different to what it is now. Giorgio Tsoukalos from Ancient Aliens has done 2 AMAs on the site, one 6.5 years ago and another 3.4 years ago. I found reading through the comments on both of those demonstrates the change really well, the more recent one is just straight up fake outrage and downmarsey bombing his responses itβs sad.
I think there is definitely a decent contingent of people who joined Reddit early on looking for an alternative.
