I use Photoshop and do it frame by frame but I'm sure there are better ways (only motion tweening in Photoshop I realise)! I just torre.. bought Adobe Animate so I might give that a go too.

Thank you for the answer. I really like your animated Marseys! I learned recently that Krita has an option to do frame-by-frame animations, but I didn't had time to fiddle around with it too much. And I don't know if any of the Marsey makers here use Krita though. this is why I asked.

I drunkenly typed stuff about this awhile back, but I comment too much to find it. The animation part of a gif is just sequential layers being displayed one after another, all the normal programs are going to do that the same as far as I know. The actual frame to frame animation, you have to do however you can get it done.
