Marsey Coin V2.0

New Marsey Coin just dropped! I'm really happy with the result but it's not perfectly symmetrical and that's slowly killing me inside :marseykiwi:

Anyway, thanks to @fartbinn for the dollar eyes idea! :marseykiwi2:

I can make it perfectly symmetrical if you want but I'd need an .obj file or whatever you're using. Can also use subdivided geometry to create smooth edges (did you already do this, kind of looks like it not sure) which catches highlights during a render, though it will make the model significantly more high-poly.

Nah, it's fine. I want to make a small change to it so I'll make it more symmetrical then. Also yeah, but not with subdivide but with bevel, but since I was working with a vector I was more limited with certain details :marseykiwi2:

If you're using 3ds Max, convert the geometry to Editable Poly and you can edit it as any other 3d model without limitations of vectors / splines etc. For symmetry cut the model in half vertically and apply a mirror or symmetry modifier, you may have to weld the vertices around the seam though it's usually done automatically. Other programs tend to have similar features, they're almost always called mirror or symmetry.

I use Blender and I'm aware of the mirror tool but for this coin I didn't use it because importing the vector was simpler and easier than making the whole coin from scratch in Blender. I also know how to turn the vectors into meshes but it doesn't look so good and I think the vector was good enough for this piece :marseykiwi:

But thanks for the suggestions, I want to see if I can make it symmetrical using the vectors but if not, I'll prolly do sometime like that :marseykiwi2:
