What? Whether you've had it or not, you'd be doing better getting vaxxed. Unless you're imagining a case where the virus evolves to completely resist vaccination, in which case it would be highly likely to breakthrough natural immunity too, just not as strongly. Being vaxxed is still superior, regardless of previous infections.

6-13x greater immunity is not to be sniffed at. I quote:
found in two analyses that never-infected people who were vaccinated in January and February were, in June, July, and the first half of August, six to 13 times more likely to get infected than unvaccinated people who were previously infected with the coronavirus.
This is why I have some doubt with your comment:

Right but it's still better to be vaxxed than not in either case. If you've never been infected and it's killing 10% of vaxxed people, what do you think the non-infected, unvaxxed mortality rate would be?
You can look at research, see that even with a previous infection it's still better to be vaxxed, and make up some imaginary version of the virus in order to justify not getting vaccinated. That's what we're talking about here. It's really r-slurred.

That's why, theoretically, you get deliberately infected with the original Covid-19 first, and then you can get the vaxx afterwards. If you get it before, then you might not be able catch the the original Covid-19 at all, thus sadly removing the benefit of the 6-13x greater immunity for the theoretical super dangerous covid variant. Marsey wouldn't like that.
Sure that's cool and all but your argument is "if the virus did this thing that would be good for my argument I would totally be right". Okay but I'm bored

I am curious as to how this thing will evolve (Covid-29 anyone?). No one can really predict that, long term. I hope it'll just peter out and that we're not accelerating the theoretical virus/immunity arms race by putting enormous efforts towards trying to fight it vaccine-wise (and people unfortunately (and inevitably) not cooperating, which includes rightoids, I freely admit).

In that theoretical case I gave, only AFTER getting Covid-19 first.
