Sometimes I wonder if I watched the same movie as some of the r-slurs on reddit. I'm not trying to paint myself as some film aficionado picking up on minute details but they so often miss the most obvious shit. Like the director will hammer some point over your head and I'll see people asking, "What did they mean by this?" and coming up with their own r-slurred theories.

The only movie I've had trouble wrapping my head around is Tarkovsky's Stalker, I still don't get it. Other Tarkovsky movies I can get, I guess I just need to rewatch it.
I think it is really funny how common it is for internet film people to twist every movie into being about capitalism and social justice while mocking people for misunderstanding taxi driver without a hint of irony
