It's be good if there was an easily accessible link to a list of the holes, maybe next to the notifications or along the bottom in the UI. Unless you want them to die. Most new users aren't going to be aware they are even a thing.

On my screen I only see that page after scrolling past a giant image that seems random and pointless, so I end up leaving the page before I even get to the holes link.

I don't think most users hardly ever see that far down the page. Scrolling down past a giant random picture (after the number of users stat) isn't normal for most people. Deleting that random picture that takes up so much space would partly solve the issue.
