I refuse to believe that a practicing physician doesn’t know his NPI.
It’s like a physician’s SSN and used in everything from prescribing medicine to ordering tests, etc. I even remember my old NPI that I haven’t used in years because it’s used so much.

5 years ago back when auto fill wasn’t a thing sure, nowadays everything is so automated basic stuff like that is forgotten. @Garry_Chess realistically used it verbally when getting second guessed by pharmacies. @Garry_Chess also don’t know @Garry_Chess's SSN.
