Once I worked at a job site with my friend and the only food close was a Sonic. So I ate it every single day for 2 weeks and by the end of it I was so sick of it lol

My perception has been shattered. Are their ice creams at least as good as they look?

I haven't eaten at a sonic in like 10 years but they have really shitty burgers and stuff. Their drinks are ok. The ice cream is just ice cream like everywhere else. I knew a few foids who used to drink their milkshakes almost every day so I assume they're good.

I don't understand how they do it. Cost of living is dirt cheap in South Africa on average and our food in the supermarket is cheaper. But then I see burger commercials (literally, I guess) for their fast food and I'm like how? How can their fast food possibly be that cheap compared to their groceries? No wonder they have an obesity epidemic.

Agriculture subsidies and razor thin margins at fast food places.

Oh yeah, and the fact that drinks are what make them money. A half gallon super size diabetes jug probably has less than 15 cents worth of water and flavored syrup in it, and it’ll sell for a few bucks.

Not really, US agriculture is efficient and highly competitive. Supply chains in the US are really developed as well.

Yeah euros get mad but they eat food made in America and those transportation costs add up.

When I was in highschool, I worked at a mid level seafood restaurant. Soda cost the restaurant $0.07 and we charged $2.99. I also had a friend that drove trucks for Dr. Pepper/7up. He could buy a case of 2 L bottles for $2. Soda is such a scam.

That’s why I just buy cases of soda syrup and do shots of the stuff.

Are grocery stores really that cheap in SA?

Comparatively, yes. Meat and veg costs you frickall and we export like most of it since we have so much. Only exception being during extreme droughts that rarely occur but even then, if you're not a poor then food costs are the least of your concerns. But the floor for dining out is comparatively high, while the ceiling is much lower. Like you can get a nice meal at an okay restaurant for like double the cost of a McDonald's meal. So fast food rarely makes sense over here unless you really just need something quick (like pizza for friends or something.) Alcohol is cheap too. Like spirits cost less than in their countries of origin on a direct conversion a lot of the times.

Depends where you are. I just had some brisket in Nashville at $40/lb whereas similar quality is $20/lb in Texas.

This morning, Cum went to the park. I went with Coom. And Cum brought Coomer frisbee. At least I think it was Coomers. By the end of the day, Cum started throwing the frisbee to Cumself.
