I'm trying to put myself in this person's shoes. I'm imagining myself going to a purely lesbian party while posing as a woman as I'm in a dysphoric state, and then locking out their bathroom to cry in when I realize they don't want me.

Is there something I'm not getting here? Is this not the empathy approach?
