What kind of work do you do?

Generally I work as a barista or political activist depending on the season. I'm skilled and passionate with both . Right now I have a short term position with the Portland'5. They hired a few of us young homeless people as consultants to promote diversity at the theatres. They're treating us really well but it's only 16 hours.

Political activist isn't a job. It doesn't pay anything. Why live here when you are not adding to our community? You're not local so why come here when it is very expensive and you aren't willing to work?

These replies are so NIMBY and fash it's hilarious. Thank you OP for at least asserting your hard boundaries against landlords. I'm part of a PDX renters union and we're gaining solidarity against the leeches who max out the yearly increase. Several reps for property management companies around SW have literally been on record opposing tenants rights during the pandemic. They routinely expose themselves as horrible people and organizations, so I'm stoked you're taking a stand against the system which causes them to thrive and the rest of us to suffer.

I smoke weed regularly and drink rarely. I also smoke cigarettes when offered. I really like acid and shrooms but don't have access. Fentanyl is terrifying.
