WTF does partial human remains mean? Hair? Teeth? A leg? Head?
Also the wording of “consistent” and “may have had” sound like they probably found someone else. If it was him, you would expect at least one piece of solid evidence given how much attention the case has.

someone needs to study journaslurism. once shit gets real often enough you have to be very careful what confidence you report. our systems are very Good Actually at confining what gets reported and the attacks on our media are literal and actual fascistic impulses.
it works like this: the police report what they know but they haven't confirmed the body yet (dental records, for instance, or a relative verifying the remains). They are reporting only that which the police say and the police are keeping a tight leash on what is provable.
this case has far less attention than you think it does.

I stand by the idea that reporting “partial remains” but not what type of remains if they are immediately identifiable, or at least the state of the remains is suboptimal reporting by either police or journ*lists.
The case may have less police attention than you think I think It has, but it’s fair to say that It has a lot of media attention.
