His books suck, at least the Mistborn series I read was. It was as if someone made a generic anime into a book using prose that was meant for high school textbooks.

Yeah, I heard he was good and started reading the first book in that series and his prose was so, so bad. I think I made it about halfway through before throwing in the towel. It was his first book I think so maybe he does get better? But it still turned me off of him, it was laughably bad imo.
