If you're ever genuinely competing with scalpers for anything besides event tickets you should definitely rethink a good portion of your life tbh.

My local Amazon kinda owned them, the switch oled starting price was 365 euro and all switches ware sold out by scalpers and scalpers started to sell for 450 euro them. But today I checked Amazon are selling switch oled on official Nintendo account for 300 euro. So the 365 euro price wasnโ€™t real and was created to sell it to scalpers. So now those scalpers have to sell with lost or buy all switches that cost 300 euro and up the price.

For that tactic to really work though you still have to create more than the scalpers can buy for the first run. Otherwise they'd just buy both batches and still drive the price up. And if they've actually produced that much you wouldn't need to worry about scalpers anyways.

They probably made more than the demand. Also burgers use switch as a console so they donโ€™t care about oled screen so scalpers who bought the oled version didnโ€™t made their homework. Many scalpers also lying about their wins like on the r scalperslords one dude showed his 8 ps5 and told he is going to sell them for 1300 buks but just doing simple research youโ€™ll find average price on eBay for ps5 is 700 and for disk version 750. In my country you can buy a ps5 for 500 euro easily and thatโ€™s 100 euro more than og price. Things with gpuโ€™s they donโ€™t sell those to your regular consumers but probably to some miners.
