I'm not hating this dude for defending himself - even though I think it's stupid in nearly every situation, it's his life, his decisions, he makes the calls. I'm criticizing this guy because he's endangering at least one other life (the clerk working at the register) by escalating the situation from a robbery to potentially who-knows-what.

I hope this redditor ends up in a situation where he has to make that call :devilsmile:

Who knows. I could shoot this guy, but for all I know, he merely wants to stomp my head into the curb! Subject mentality is truly strange.
