Intermittent Goombling post

Haven't goombled in a bit but going down to the casino tonight for 2/5 NLH. I still hate that they don't serve booze on the casino floor but they're at least okay with fricking off the table for 15-25 minutes while you hit up the bar :marseyshrug:

Heme onc doc. I was pretty friendly and helped out the nurses quite a bit in my free time when bored but that was about as menial as I'd get. Granted, my work was menial as frick and just the same thing every week.

I am guessing heme onc means blood cancer doctor. Why do fantasize about this particular speciality? Did you always hold them in a particularly high regard? Is that why your imaginary life fixates on medicine? It can feel good to speak truth to power and work through your issues. This is a safe space.

It was my job for over a decade and I'm

a cancer survivor so I have quite a bit of respect for the profession. I just wish it was more interesting than seeing the same 5 Dx's 4 days a week, 10 hours of biopsies on Friday and just reading EMRs praying I don't get called into the ER on Saturday.

I see you have added being a cancer survivor to your fantasy. Since being a doctor would already bring someone attention and respect does the addition of being a cancer survivor to your fantasy life mean that neither of your parents showed you enough attention.
