the 90s spoiled the shit out of us lol

"nooo my well-paid makework office job doesn't give me enough satisfaction about how I'm helping underprivileged youths"

I miss the 90s, what a cracker of a decade (not white).

lol people get so mad when you point out that their job existing (rather than being automated) is basically a form of welfare.

My job could 100% be done by the first semi-competent AI-cel. When that happens I'm taking out a huge loan, flying to SE Asian and fricking ladyboys until I die

The jig will be up any day now

those are the best jobs to have tbh

I work in insurance and 90% of my job is me running some powershell scripts I wrote one day to replace ~30 hours of work a week, and then there's another 2 hours a day of random shit for the rest of the time that I palm off as much as possible

they could fire me tomorrow and provided someone there knew how to copy and paste things out of the txt file labelled "meeting notes 3 Mar" in the My Documents folder I doubt they'd notice, but the money's good

I really fricked up being a programmer, which is basically automating everyone else’s work, when I could have gotten any other job and automated my own work like this giga-chad here

I have seriously considered becoming a codecel, my job still mostly wants me in the office which means I have to show up, not shit myself, not blast the music from people's rdrama profiles out, etc, etc

Being a programmer just sounds stressful. I work as an economist in govt as the youngest guy in the office, and the shit I make in excel and stata is like introducing fire to cavemen. I can’t imagine being surrounded by people competent enough to know I don’t know shit about CS

It’s pretty stressful if you have a lot of pride. Thing evolve quickly and there are lots of opportunities to be wrong. I’ll probably be dead by 50
