Monday night drunk thread

Straight up slept through work most of today and missed a meeting. Finished all the work that needed to be done yesterday so I don't actually give a shit. I'm sure there are quite a few people having their assistants review angry emails but this bottle of kraken rum good and enough to make my not giving a shit turn into me somehow giving less of a shit.

Garry it sounds like you're going through something especially rough right now with the new job. Do you have any family or friends you can talk to about the work stress? I am worried about you. I've been there before and drinking like this is no way to live. I don't mean to sound patronizing. The desire for alcohol is something I will always struggle with but now that I drink much, much less my mood is way more stable and it's easier to “give a shit”.

God knew I'd be too powerful if I had a normal childhood

I'm mostly just trying to get fired since that completes the debt I owe.

I keep the alcohol under wrap enough that it doesn't damage my liver or kidneys beyond repair and have stopped for years a few times since I started college. I admit I do it way too much, especially in retirement since I have nothing better to do. My AST and SGOT are getting upper range so I'll probably have to quit sometime soon.

Tried Tecate beer, it's pretty good. Someone here said it was better than Modelo and I have to agree.

Tecate is definitely better. I'm not a big fan of most Mexican beers and consider most to be shit but tecate isn't that bad compared to many light beers.
