Anti-vaxxers aren't an "identifiable group" under Canadian Criminal law so you can't compare this group to any of the groups that fall under the definition of a hate crime.From the Criminal Code of Canada:319 (1) Every one who, by communicating statements in any public place, incites hatred against any identifiable group where such incitement is likely to lead to a breach of the peace is guilty of(a) an indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years; or(b) an offence punishable on summary conviction.Definition:"identifiable group" means any section of the public distinguished by colour, race, religion, ethnic origin or sexual orientation. They are making the mistake of corrilation equaling causation, excess deaths are up (more deaths in a population than would be statistically normal over a given time frame, just so we are working from the same definition) but what is the actual cause? The pandemic lockdowns where extremely hard on everyone, and the psycological effects are still being borne out. Drug and alcohol abuse increased during that time well, could that not also have an effect on excess deaths? Are they counting suisides? Accidental deaths from industrial accidents? To them there is only 1 cause.. and since the vast majority of people got vaxxinated, and there is not the resources to get to the absolute cause of every death, their narrative fills in the knolwge gap for them. (2)

Sucks to be someone who is vaccine educated, yet had a family member have a stroke within 1 week of the 1st astro vaccine. Very confusing. You believe in science, and the medical representation you meet at hospitals, but the logic is too astoundingly apparent. This happened. Period. Whether you write it off as coincidence, fine, but it happened, and that data should be acknowledged and discussed without stigmatization. To clarify, I've been vaccinated 3 times. (-1)

I am sorry to hear about your family memeber, that is heartbreaking. I would never suggest that medicine is perfect, the vaxines do have risks and side effects. There are certian types of vaccines that I cannot have, and beleve me I had a good long discussion with my doctor about risk before I got vaccinated. I agree we do need to be able to acknolwge and discuss that people have had bad reactions to the vaxxine, and the actuall efficacy of the medication with a quickly mutating virus such as covid-19.I also beleve we should have a healthy and strong sceptisism when discussing pharmasudical companies, and any goverment inventing more power for itself. Unfortunetly, the anti-vax movement at large does not want to engage in good faith disccusion. They are misleading people with misrepresentations of the truth, and outright lies. They are using people's fear,ignorance, and isolation as a in point to push anti-science views.Once they can convince somone of the grand covid conpiracy, an... (2)
