As do most powerlifters. There are exceptions, but the optimal body composition for power+injury prevention is probably a bit on the fat side.

Most people aren't competing in WSM, so it's usually mostly a cope.

Well, they are. They cope calling it a "power belly" but they're usually well north of 20% body fat. Eddie Hall had to lose something like 80lbs to start seeing his abs.

I was a standard BMI until I started lifting weights. I'd like to lose 10lbs of fat though that I gained during the last year on top of muscle, so I went back to running. Running isn't for everyone, but it makes losing weight easy. For some strange reason, I lose my appetite too.
