If you're not an r-slur that buys a new phone every year it's not a big issue if the brand new iteration of a phone is similar to the previous one.

Apple consumers are that type of r-slur, though, and will try to justify paying another 1000 euro/dollar/dramacoin for a slightly better camera and the possibility of dropping it from one floor higher without breaking it.

Yeah I just got an iPhone 13, but it was replacing an iPhone 7 which I’ve had for like 5 years. To me it’s quite different. And whenever I end up buying the iPhone 18 or whatever, I’m sure it won’t be much different than the 17, but vastly different than my 13
