The camera sensor is a lot bigger than the 12 and the rear facing lens’ f-stop capability is 2x better than the last version, going from f/2.8 to f/1.4. That’s a big deal for anyone who uses their phones for shooting. More light means better photos and less noise in the shadows. The image stabilization has also improved greatly so now you can shoot macro photos as well.

But every real upgrade to the 13 pro max vs the 12 pro max is really only related to the lens quality, camera sensors, image stabilization, processor, body design, and some AI room scanning thing.

You can shoot some high quality shorts or other video content with the higher end iPhones now. I was shooting social media content for b2c companies with my iPhone 8 and 10 as my b cameras with additional apps and lens additions years ago. Now if I bought the 13 pro max I’d go back to using it the same way but the capabilities and image quality would be so much better.
