There are two kids shows that stand out to the @nytimes as problematic: Bentkey’s Chip Chilla and Bluey. And what’s so problematic? “Weirdly present” fathers.

Both fathers are derided as a “fantasy” for being so active and engaged with their children but, according to NYT, Chip… pic.twitter.com/Y5E87h5x65

Why is it legal to work for the New York Times still? It's contributors should all be put on trial for psychological operations and for being annoying.

That's it. I don't care about trains beating women in sports (it's funny), or mandatory gay s*x in schools, not even drag shows for children bother me.
But if the NYT is coming for bluey then strap me to a missile and launch me at the NYT. I will declare jihad and martyr myself to protect bandit.

Umm all cartoon dads need to be r-slurred and uncaring like Rick and Homer Simpson. That's actually a much better message to show kids.

Yeah, not talking classic Homer here. I'm talking whatever character killed Homer and has been wearing his skin for the last 20+ years

Cultural “””progressives””” are such hypocrites when it comes to discussing the media presenting things the way they are vs the way they ought to be.
portraying fake/exaggerated diversity in a historical fiction drama is good because diversity shows how things ought to be.
NOOO you cant portray fathers in a cartoon as being devoted thats completely divorced from reality!
Culture journos are literally the most useless people in society. The world would go on like nothing happened if they were all eliminated overnight.

Look at how the redditors reacted to the family doing a dance in the nearly empty airport. They made up a whole life for them, but especially the Dad, because they couldn't imagine a father figure who was present, happy, and not a monster.
The amount of lives defined by 'Frick you Dad!' whether the Dad was present or absent is, frankly, astonishing.
