[POLL INSIDE] Who would you side with should a Civil War break out?

Optional discussion: who do you think would win said Civil War?

Last time, I asked about whether rDrama would support a Trump Dictatorship, the result of which was against that by 32-69.

GDP isn't an effective measure of war production to be honest. A lot of that is financialization and service jobs/dependent on resource inputs that would disappear should a war break out.

Plus, many cities with red suburbs would basically start under siege.

>many cities with red suburbs would basically start under siege.

There is exactly zero percent chance that Orange County takes up arms against LA. It's just not realistic. Red suburbs are red because rich boomers live there and want tax breaks, not because they are itching to join the MAGA shooting war.

That would apply more in places like Texas or Georgia - places with looser gun laws. The deepest Blue states have already done the intelligent and pragmatic thing by disarming said suburbs.

Yeah, sure Austin, TX falls to the chuds on day 3, but SXSW is garbage anyway and mediocre IPAs won't feed your army, so it's no great loss for Team Blue.

feed your army

Yeah that's gonna be the other issue. Nearly all the farmland outside of California Central Valley and the Black Belt (which is cut off) is deep Red.

I am aware ports exist, but depending on what parts of the Navy go where that could be dubious at best, let alone the state of the rest of the world in the meanwhile.

Leafistan would likely continue feeding team blue, although there is a literally sub-zero likelihood of intervention otherwise

Yeah, that's a good point Mexico will be team blue as well.

Mexico would probably also fall into chaos, as the Cartels realize their largest market went up in smoke, most of Mexico's industry loses their customers and said Cartels try to carve out their power within Mexico.

Also keep in mind the Mexicans don't have a single tank and only like 4 F-5 jets. Not 4 squadrons, 4. One, Two, Three, Four. All they're good for (militarily) for the Blues is warm bodies.

Mexico has the 4th largest industrial base in the world and a huge preexisting logistics supply chain for pumping massive volumes of shit into burgerstan.

Canada would probably be in chaos too.

Long border, and a lot of chuds that could be easily armed in the Praries to cut the country in two. Also probably tens of millions of refugees.

That also assumes the Quebecois don't ally with the Republicans in exchange for independence.

Doesnt matter; all the leafistani trade is with the US anyway

Canada absolutely wouldn't share food with the US. US < Indigenous in their minds.

Honestly, the only really authentic thing in Handmaid's Tale is when Canadians turn on US-expats and give them the Thunder Bay treatment. That's the real Canada right there.

Indeed, disarming people is intelligent when you want subjects rather than citizens.

The blues would get the lion's share of international support, from the EU to the UN to MSFT. The reds would thumb their noses at everyone except Israel and maybe Russia.

The rest of the world would probably be in chaos. Europe would probably be busy with Russia, and China likely takes the opportunity to take Taiwan. Nobody with the inclination would be in a position to help the Blues (or Reds, for that matter) beyond strongly-worded letters.

>A lot of that is financialization

Perfect for war economy. Imagine the capital that blue states could muster. More money = more resources = more chances to control critical areas.

Of course, a US civil war is all hypothetical. But if it were to happen now for some inextricable reason, I think blue states would have better funding. Who is buying republikkkan war bonds lmao :marseyxd:

(Still voted chud, more dramatic)

What would the US Dollar (or for that matter, American companies/properties/stocks/bonds) be worth in the middle of a hot Civil War?

Not much, I presume.

Also money -> resources conversion requires trade, which would be dicey at best.
