I'm not sure why he did it. The sort of person he needs to sway on the jury is much more likely to want him to be stoic. He's got good lawyers though, so this was probably the right call.

Or, maybe, he's a fricking teenager who went from "imma do an activism!" to "oh frick me I've killed 2 men" and is now on trial for it

I've said it before, and I'll say it again; these people do not want Rittenhouse's actions to set precedent.

Because self defense was never a thing until just last week when this trial started. I know the stupidity of the average redditor shouldn't surprise me but just when I think I've seen the maximum level of stupidity possible they somehow manage to plumb new depths.
