Not Wearing Your Mask? Not "Free Speech" AKA (((UNLAWFUL BEHAVIOR))) - /r/news Sings Hallelujah

The court added: “Skeptics are free to — and did — voice their opposition through multiple means, but disobeying a masking requirement is not one of them. One could not, for example, refuse to pay taxes to express the belief that ‘taxes are theft.' Nor could one refuse to wear a motorcycle helmet as a symbolic protest against a state law requiring them.”

It would have never stopped endemic covid, but it could have saved thousands of lives minimum.

Just thousands?

It appears to me the mask was a symbol. Anti mask equated to anti lockdowns and absurd covid policies.

When you have to wear a mask in line but that can take it off ten feet later when you're sitting down didn't make sense. Closing businesses that were deemed “unessential” while keeping liquor stores and dispensaries open. Closing beaches and outdoor areas. Closing schools, churches, and sports. We had outdoor dining inside of heated tents, so basically inside but now just cold.

There were a myriad of rules that had no scientific backing of having any signs of preventing the spread. Not to mention the wealth transfer that occurred, inflation, and social issues that arose from those decisions.

So sure, celebrate the mask enforcement being legal. I'd gladly wear one if other liberties were protected but yet to see any protections there.

Inb4 the remote working, white collar, introverts, attack me because they got to work from home, didn't lose any money, and binge watch Netflix for 18 months.
