Reddit going public was a payout for the execs. Everyone knew this and I don't think anyone was surprised/shocked by the share sales.

People were hoping a ton of moderators would buy a bunch of shares when they were offered them and then the stock would tank when the execs dumped them but that didn't really happen since Reddit mods are mostly broke NEETs and the stock price is holding pretty steady considering Reddit has never been profitable.
