Ed Piskor is an indie comic artist famous for his series Hip Hop Family Tree and his horror series Red Room comics. He also did an X-men Book for Marvel called X-men Grand design which kicked off the grand design series (books where an indie artist would be given the creative freedom to retell the entire history of a character in their style).
He and another indie artist, Jim Rugg, run a channel called cartoonist keyfabe which uploaded daily videos flipping through all types of comics (DC/Marvel, manga, indie,classics, new stuff)
Ed Piskor has been confirmed to have killed himself after multiple women accused him of sexting them as minors (17 years old 
) while he was 38. On March 30th Jim Rugg cut ties with Ed https://instagram.com/p/C5HOMlbPMkT/
He also did a Maus parody cover which made people pissed because he was mocking the holcaust or something
Maybe there is worse accusations buried in here but rn it just looks like it was with doe eyed innocent 17 year olds in pittsburg where the age of consent is 16. Creepy probably but hard core child predator

Ur right after reading his suicide note im filled with pure disgust. I was mostly mad at all the headlines being about minors only to see the age 17 which isnt even a minor in over half the US states but his suicide note was super pretentious and slimey and its clear he has no guilt or remorse for what he did. Worse shit will come out and I wouldn't be shocked if he isnt even dead right now. Thats the kinda note you write when you want be there to lord over people.

Romeo and Juliet laws apply to ppl close in age UNDER the age of consent like 12 and a 13 yr old. But in states where its 16 or 17 any age above is allowed. Sometimes there will be exceptions like a teacher and student or foster parent or whatever but other than that...

The answer is because it's a moral issue the line of things are blurry so people latch really hard onto the 18 line they're given. I went to college early. Let's say I met someone in their last year of undergrad, but they took a gap year after high school, and we really hit it off. Would it be immoral for that 22-23 year old to date 16-17 year old me? I don't think so, we're peers. But what about a 23 year old fresh out of college teacher and a 16-17 student of theirs? I think that would be immoral because of the student-teacher power dynamic and difference in life experience. Same age gap, different morality. 18 was decided on in most places because that's the age of adulthood in general in Burgerland (yes I know it used to be 21 but people didn't even live west of the Mississippi until 1980) and people really don't want to entertain the thought of fricking people who aren't legal adults yet so they latch on hard to 18.
