Frick IRB review. Paper got rejected because we used human subjects for control groups ‘without permission'

No fricking shit we had approval. Lower lab monkeys confirmed this with written statements but allowed withdrawal at anytime like normal. Normally we would just proceed with data acquired but some absolute r-slur failed to do the bare minimum of warning the patient that their EMR would be published.

I've fulfilled my obligation and don't give a shit that they just wasted tens of millions of dollars for something that won't get published due to r-sluration. Wanted to end my career on a high note but will just be somebody that got paid way too much for something nobody will ever see outside of a few biochemistry PhDs.

The second you get a message from IRB, go find another lab job. You're either not getting funding or missing important deadlines resulting in the project dying. I have hated them since I worked with them in high school. It's just petty politics.
