NPRs descent started way before Trump. During the Obama years they had already shifted towards being shit. I remember listening one day and they were talking about the new Mary Queen of Scots and the historical role and impact of women. But instead of a historian or scholar they had fricking Margot Robbie. Theyd become no better than a late night talk show.

I remember they did a story in ~2016 about some high school kids doing a Harry Potter play, and the first question they asked was something like "as a black hermione, how does Trump racism make you feel?" With extra strong emphasis on the word feel.

What's a "neoliberal"?

Can you describe it right quick (without a search engine)?

Thanks.

Basically progressives who aren't commies, so tech bros. Except they're super cringe and don't have any real well developed sense of foreign policy.

Coincidentally The Bulwark recently had an article on the status of the IDW and had some bits on The Free Press.

Other recent articles suggest that the Free Press's skepticism of mainstream media narratives can lead it down the garden path of embracing factually shoddy and essentially partisan β€œheterodox” claims that undercut its credibility. Among these: an article suggesting that Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin may have been wrongly convicted in the murder of George Floydβ€”a claim that prompted a devastating, multipart rebuttal by Radley Balkoβ€”and another making shaky assertions about skyrocketing crime under a progressive district attorney in Austin, Texas, also convincingly deconstructed by Balko in The Unpopulist.

Libs will die before they admit that George Floyd was entirely responsible for his own death. The implications of that fact are just too devastating for them. It's like trying to force an evangelical to admit that no human has ever seen a stegosaurus. It doesn't matter how simply obvious that fact is - you can't weigh in on it until you read my "DEVESTATING, MULTIPART" mangling of reality that I haven't actually read myself.
