Spilled nearly my entire mug of coffee and mine's beyond dead. I'm open to anything even if it's just ideas on what to look for. I wouldn't be using it for video editing or anything too intensive but I'd prefer a solid battery life.
Any suggestions for laptop shopping?

I got you, fam. I buy, build, repair, and sell desktops and laptops myself or multiple brick-and-mortar stores.
ASUS - Vivobook 16" Laptop - AMD Ryzen 7 5800HS with 12GB Memory - 512GB SSD, $450.
HP - Envy 2-in-1 16" Wide Ultra XGA Touch-Screen Laptop - AMD Ryzen 5 - 8GB Memory - 512GB SSD for $550
It's on sale at Best Buys and currently beats online prices for that hardware.
It's also a 2in1, so you can fold it to use it like a tablet.
OTher than that, hit up ebay for Ryzen 5 4000 series or higher with 8GB and 512GB SSD, or with Intel i7 and 10th or higher generation.

Just very overpriced for the hardware itself (excluding the screen), but they did have the Asus Creator 15 or 16 line with 4K OLED, i7 or i9, RTX 3050, and 16GB, some SSD for $700 and $900, which was insanely cheap.
