Any suggestions for laptop shopping?

Spilled nearly my entire mug of coffee and mine's beyond dead. I'm open to anything even if it's just ideas on what to look for. I wouldn't be using it for video editing or anything too intensive but I'd prefer a solid battery life. Might install Arch or something, might not idk

Buy a used or NOS workstation from between :marseyzeldalinkpast: 2017 and 2022. Expect to spend $200-700. Don't buy anything :marseycoleporter: thin or pretty.

Buying old stuff more frequently instead of getting new stuff less frequently will save you a bunch of money :marseyluckycat: and on average you'll get better :marseygenetakovic: performance.
