This guy is going around on Reddit claiming Andy Weir (writer of The Martian) is taking full credit for The Egg when it was a convo they had on a forum

Drama in the comments.

Also posted in spirituality to set the record straight.

While those threads were from two years ago, he hasn't quit his campaign.

He's posted in /r/consciousness recently

Eleven days ago he added a comment

>Yeah, there's definitely something fishy. The film The Martian (2015) was sued for infringement. A screenwriter from Russia named Mikhail Raskhodnikov wrote a screenplay called The Martian in 2008 about a cosmonaut stranded on Mars who is rescued. He shopped it around different studios who all passed.

>Fox won the lawsuit because the movie was based on the 2011 book.

>I suspect Weir somehow got his hands on the script and turned it into a novel. I wouldn't even be surprised if someone at the studio put him up to it.

Before he did the Martian, Andy also had two webcomics. The first, Casey and Andy, was legitimately smart funny albeit with really poor art. Plus this was before the internet went insane, so he could get away with hornyposting sometimes, notably with :marseydevil:. The second was a step to far, consisting of some weird sexually deviant version of Alice in Wonderland and Wendy. About the time he became successful that whole thing was mostly scrubbed from the internet.
