losing my mind at these people painting their dead grass green pic.twitter.com/txoGxdggu7

Comments are full of self congratulatory Redditors patting eachother on the back about being woke to the grass menace, unironic John Green links.
it's just grass seeds and dyed fertilizer, terminal rentoid brain

I'm not going to graffiti my lawn, but reddit and other contemptible lazy neets sneed hard about anybody not letting their yard become a tick, rat, and fungal infested mud hole under the guise of being virtuous.

Many suburbs and subdivisions were built on old farm land and trees take a long time to grow. Grass lawns are an easy solution that looks decent and uniform while other landscaping grows in.

I slapped some raised beds on mine and spend the summer months nurturing delicious nightshades that I can pluck and eat when I'm pretending to WFH

I had a great raised bed I built at my last house and it's probably the thing I miss the most. I still grow a few tomatoes and maybe one or two other things a year where I live now, but I only have a small section that gets enough sun in my back yard and can't do anything like I used to.

!homeowners Wots this then? Seems like a nice solution to those stubborn dog pee dead patches I can never fix up 100%. Dig out the dead patches at the end of winter, aerate the soil, seed and/or fertilize, and by June some wispy patches of grass will start popping up in those spots, probably since those patches are always too acidic to grow lush grass again. Dogs love routine and tend to pee in the same spots over and over.

That's the onus they bear of having their yards so close to the road, instead of being hidden behind a numerous forest of trees and shrubs

I've done this before. Took out a tree, laid sod but we had a cold snap before it could root.
Of course, Google Street View took a picture of my dead grass
